About Us
Welcome to Patten Longhorns owned and operated by Austin and Betty Patten. We are located in Auburn, AL - the loveliest village on the plains. Back in May 2016, we fell in love with the longhorn breed. Their awesome parenting, diverse color patterns, and their incredible horns really caught our eye. After making our first purchase and connecting to mentors in the field, it’s been a journey ever since!
Betty and I have two little farm hands, Dudley (3.5) and Palmer (1.5), and our newest farmhand set to arrive in June, Mary Marshall! Life’s pretty sweet here on our small piece of paradise and being in the longhorn industry has become a source of shared interest in our family to build memories and responsibility into our children.
Our herd is our pride and joy. We strive to bring in and maintain top genetics, conformation, milking ability, disposition and of course horn. It’s a family affair – spending time with our cows, enjoying the outdoors, and just loving Jesus, our family, and farm life in Auburn.
